Learning Outcomes and Application | This unit describes the skills and knowledge required to select, configure and use computer operating systems and basic computer hardware, including configuring the operating system to work with a variety of hardware peripherals and types of information and communications technology (ICT) equipment.It applies to individuals who may work under supervision and provide support to others using a range of skills to identify and resolve issues.No licensing, legislative or certification requirements apply to this unit at the time of publication. | ||
Duration and Setting | X weeks, nominally xx hours, delivered in a classroom/online/blended learning setting. Gather evidence to demonstrate consistent performance in conditions that are safe and replicate the workplace. Noise levels, production flow, interruptions and time variances must be typical of those experienced in the general information and communications technology (ICT) industry, and include access to: hardware components work health and safety (WHS) standards and organisational policy and procedures an operating system currently used in industry software configuration guides documents detailing operating system control panel and configuration data. Assessors must satisfy NVR/AQTF assessor requirements. |
